Management Team
Cagri Yilmaz
CEO
Based in Cambridge (UK), Cagri is the CEO of the Private Share Group, operating across the UK, Dubai, and Turkey. With nearly 20 years of experience exclusively in the financial services sector—including nine years working with Fortune 500 and FTSE 100-listed financial institutions—he has built long-standing relationships with founders and key executives across Europe, the Middle East, and the United States.
Cagri also advises and works closely with several portfolio companies, helping them source and manage global funding solutions. He is a domain expert in capital raising, trade finance, large-scale M&A transactions, and complex financial structures.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence Programming, and an Executive MBA in Finance.
Peter J. Miller
Head of UK Practice
Peter is responsible for the important decisions and manages the whole UK team.
Prior to Private Shares, Peter has spent several years at J.P. Morgan in London advising Europe's leading financial institutions on M&A and corporate finance.
He has a bachelors degree in Modern History from Oxford University where he graduated with a starred first, and subsequently earned a MSc degree at Oxford with distinction.
Mert Barin
Head of Turkey Practice
Mert served as General Manager at AG Medical & Consulting from 2016 to 2019, where he managed operations as a subcontractor on major infrastructure projects, including the Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge and the Istanbul New Airport.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, he played a pivotal role in overseeing international sales of medical supplies.
From 2019 to 2020, Mr. Barin worked as a Marketing and Sales Consultant for Doğuş Group - one of the largest companies in Turkey.
As the founder of Meba Construction, he led multi-million-euro projects in Serbia, funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), managing a workforce of over 500 employees across multiple project sites.
Since March 2022, Mert has been serving as our Regional Director, leading our operations in Turkey.
Alan Harris
Liquidity & Partnerships Manager
Before joining us, Alan spent the last six years at Deloitte, most recently in the Investment Management & Private Equity division. Alan specialised in auditing valuations for venture capital and private equity funds.
Alan is also a domain expert in company valuations.
Alan holds a BEng (Hons) in Engineering and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Accounting Sciences. He is a Chartered Accountant and has also successfully passed CFA level 1.
